## The brief

A legacy film for Playways School in Patiala, marking fifty years. Built on one idea carried out of the founding room: children were not taught to receive the world, they were taught they had the right to answer it.

## The approach

- Direction first, the thought before the image: fifty years of a school held to one idea its founder taught in the first room.
- A period film built where no footage exists: the 1975 classroom, the radio, the postcard, recreated frame by frame and cut against the school's own present-day record.
